SERVICES
I have received a lot of feedback from frustrated friends and patients who are disillusioned with the lack of individualized medical attention by their general practitioners. As many of you know, I am into the final half of medical school at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and I plan to help fill the void in comprehensive Primary Care. To help fulfill some of those needs today I have listed a broad suite of lab tests that I can order to help you take the guesswork out of your health care. In today’s culture I appreciate the fact that time and convenience is paramount so I can order and review any of these panels remotely without you having to visit the office (of course, you’re welcome to come to the office).
Here are some important advantages to getting tested this way:
- No trip to the doctor’s office
- Discrete and confidential
- No waiting rooms full of sick people
- No insurance company involvement
- All panels include a private phone (or in-person) consultation with me
If you are confused about what laboratory test may be best for you, contact me and I will help you navigate through these lab services. Also, stay tuned to new Services on my website as I will soon be adding an intensive Wellness Coaching program and also offering Wellness Workshops. Here are the panels you can choose from:
Blood Chemistry Panels
Pure Chem Basic™ ($169)
The Pure Chem Basic™ includes a Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) which provides important information about the current status of your kidneys, liver, and electrolyte and acid/base balance as well as of your blood sugar and blood proteins. Abnormal results, and especially combinations of abnormal results, can indicate a problem that needs to be addressed. This evaluation also includes a Complete Blood Count (CBC) which is used as a broad screening test to check for such disorders such as anemia, infection, and many other diseases. A thyroid panel and a comprehensive cholesterol panel are also included in this assessment. The Pure Chem Basic also includes a Urinalysis (UA) which is used as a screening and diagnostic tool because it can help detect substances or cellular material in the urine associated with different metabolic and kidney disorders. It is used to detect urinary tract infections (UTI) and other disorders of the urinary tract.

Thyroid antibody testing is primarily ordered to help diagnose an autoimmune thyroid disease and to separate it from other forms of thyroiditis. It may be ordered to help investigate the cause of a goiter and performed as a follow-up when other thyroid test results (such as T3, T4, and/or TSH) show signs of thyroid dysfunction.
Includes: All components of the Pure Chem Plus D plus TPO Ab, Thyroid Antithyroglobulin Ab (TGA), T-4 Free, T-3 Free.
Pure Chem Cardio™ ($309)
Pure Chem Cardio includes everything in the Pure Chem Basic in addition to Total T-3 to complete a full thyroid evaluation including the thyroid markers that are already in the Pure Chem Basic. This panel also includes High-Sensitivity C-reactive Protein (hs-CRP), Homocysteine, and Fibrinogen to help determine the potential risk level for cardiovascular disease, heart attacks, and strokes.
Includes: All the components of the Pure Chem Basic plus Triiodothyronine (Total T-3), Hb A1c, Ferritin, TIBC, Iron Saturation %, and 25 Hydroxy Vitamin D, C-Reactive Protein (High Sensitivity), Homocysteine and Fibrinogen.
Blood typing with Rh™ ($33)
Blood typing is used to determine your blood group and what type of blood or blood components you can safely receive. All pregnant women should be tested to determine whether they are Rh negative or positive. All newborns of Rh negative moms should also be tested to determine if the mother needs to receive Rh immune globulin.
Includes: ABO Typing With Rh factor
Celiac Disease Profile™ ($375)
Celiac disease tests are ordered when someone has symptoms suggesting celiac disease, malnutrition, and/or malabsorption – such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, weakness, fatigue, weight loss, and joint pain. They may be ordered as part of an investigation of anemia, osteoporosis, infertility, or seizures (certain types are linked to celiac disease). In children, celiac disease tests may be ordered when a child exhibits gastrointestinal symptoms, delayed development, short stature and/or a failure to thrive.
Includes: Endomysial Antibody IgA; Immunoglobulin A (IgA), Total; Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA.
PLAC® Test ($165)
Enzyme associated with heart attack & stroke.
Salivary Hormone Panels
Adrenal Stress Index™ (ASI™)—$210
Abnormal adrenal function can alter the ability of cells to produce energy for activities of daily living. People who have a hard time rising in the morning, or who suffer with a low energy level during the day, often have abnormal adrenal rhythms & poor blood sugar regulation. The maintenance of a stable blood sugar level depends on food choice, lifestyle, adrenal function and insulin activity. This panel measures stress hormones and insulin, to help ferret out causes of fatigue, cravings and obesity.
Includes: ten (10) saliva tests: Cortisol (X4), 17-OH Progesterone, DHEA/DHEA-S, Insulin (x2), Gliadin Ab, and Secretory IgA.
8-Hormone Panel (8HP™)—$222
Similar to the Adrenal Stress Index, the 8HP includes Cortisol (X4) and DHEA, but it also includes the reproductive hormones: Estradiol, Progesterone, and Testosterone.
Includes: Cortisol (x4), DHEA/DHEA-S, Estradiol, Progesterone, Testosterone.
Bone Marker Panel™ (BHM™)—$210
The Bone Health Panel™ provides an assessment of bone health utilizing a combination of non-invasive saliva and urine tests. Diagnosis of osteoporosis has relied heavily on technology that shows HOW MUCH bone has been lost. The Bone Health Panel™ measures HOW FAST bone is being lost and the hormone levels associated with bone health.
Includes: one (1) saliva specimen and one (1) urine specimen and eight (8) individual tests measuring the free fractions of six (6) key hormones: Estradiol, Progesterone, Testosterone, FSH, Cortisol (x2), DHEA/DHEA-S, and urinary Pyrilinks-D (DpD).
Female Hormone Panel™ (FHP™)—$290
The Female Hormone Panel™ (FHP™) is a non-invasive test consisting of 11 saliva specimens collected during specified time periods throughout the menstrual cycle. The ovaries are a major component of the female reproductive cycle and they release hormones in a cyclical manner which is referred to as the menstrual cycle. The Female Hormone Panel™ provides a dynamic mapping of the free fraction levels of Estradiol (E2) and Progesterone (P) throughout one cycle. In addition, the cycle average of Testosterone (T) and DHEA are measured.
Includes: Estradiol (x11), Progesterone (x11), cycle average Testosterone and DHEA/DHEA-S, 3 Progesterone production indices, 4 Estradiol production indices, a full cycle P/E ratio graph and an example of a restorative plan. The expanded Female Hormone Panel™ (eFHP™) includes an additional five (5) FSH and five (5) LH measurements.
Postmenopause Panel™ (PostM™)—$189
Menopause is a natural and usually gradual change in glandular function in women resulting in substantial shifts in hormone levels. The Postmenopause Panel™ provides measurements of six key hormones.
